Hridhu Haroon and Preity Mukhundhan’s ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, directed by Faizal Faziludeen, has been cleared by the CBFC with a U/A certificate and is set for an Onam 2025 release in Malayalam and Tamil

Chennai: Director Faizal Faziludeen’s upcoming Malayalam romantic action entertainer ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, starring Hridhu Haroon and Preity Mukhundhan, has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a clean U/A certificate. The film is now set for a festive Onam 2025 release in both Malayalam and Tamil. Watch the teaser below:
The makers announced the clearance on Tuesday by unveiling a new poster with the words “Censored with clean U/A 13+” and captioned it, “#MainePyarKiya Certified U/A (13+) This Onam, get ready for a festive entertainer that the whole family can enjoy! With unexpected twists, an underdog’s rise, and thrills that pack a punch, #MainePyarKiya promises action, love & celebration in one!”
Produced by Sanju Unnithan under the banner of Spire Productions, with Binu Nair as Executive Producer, the film marks the production house’s second venture after Mandakini.
The project has already generated buzz among cinephiles, thanks to Hridhu Haroon’s critically acclaimed performances in Mura and ‘All We Imagine As Light’, and Preity Mukhundhan’s much-praised role in ‘Kannappa’.
Alongside the lead pair, the ensemble cast includes Askar Ali, Midhun, Arjo, Jagadeesh, Mustafa, Jero, Redin Kingsley, Boxer Dheena, and Mime Gopi.
On the technical front, the film features Don Paul P as the cinematographer, Electronic Kili as the music composer, and Kannan Mohan as the editor. Lyrics have been written by Muthu, while the background score is jointly composed by Mihraj Khalid and Vijay Anand. Sound design is helmed by Renganaath Ravee, art direction by Sunil Kumaran, and stunts by Kalai Kingson.
With a blend of romance, action, and family-friendly entertainment, ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ is being positioned as a complete festive package for audiences this Onam.
