Priyanka Chopra Jonas reacted to a post by journalist Faye D’Souza about Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The actor dropped red heart, clapping hands and raised hands emojis in the comments section.

Ishaan Khatter, Malaika Arora and Tina Datta were among the other celebrities who reacted to the post.

Vir Das also shared a message for the students who had been protesting. Congratulating them on the development, he wrote, “You restored a single word of a tiny little sentence of that book we all read in school and forgot. You beautiful kids. Ibrahim Ali Khan also joined the reactions, using a phrase that had recently gone viral after Salman Khan used it while speaking about the student protests.

Sharing his reaction on Instagram Stories, Ibrahim wrote, “Happy to see voices heard. It’s done bro.”

The phrase had recently gained attention after Salman Khan used it in a message to Sonam Wangchuk, asking him not to extend his hunger strike. Salman had written, “Sonam, it’s done, bro. Don’t extend this,” while also urging students to return home after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about action over the alleged examination paper leak.

 

The latest reactions come after Dharmendra Pradhan submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 25. The resignation came amid weeks of student unrest and public anger over alleged examination irregularities, including concerns surrounding NEET-UG.

In his resignation letter, Pradhan wrote about his long association with students, teachers and education reforms, adding that he respected the aspirations and expectations of the country’s youth. He also thanked the Prime Minister for the opportunity to serve in the Union government.

As celebrations continued at the protest site, CJP’s Abhijeet Dipke said, “We did it. We have done it. Jhukti hai duniya, jhukane wala chahiye.”
