
Actor Lukman Avaran’s remarkable physical transformation for his role in Alappuzha Gymkhana has taken social media by storm. The actor, who shed 12 kilograms in just a year, has shared his fitness journey, revealing how he went from 85 kg to 73 kg through rigorous workouts, all while maintaining his muscle mass.
Lukman began his workout regime in January 2024, specifically for his role in the film directed by Khalid Rahman. He attributed his transformation to a disciplined exercise routine and a strict diet, despite his love for food. His fitness journey was not without challenges; during the shoot, Lukman also sustained an injury. However, he remained committed to his fitness routine without taking a break, as he stated in his social media post.

With the director being a perfectionist, Lukman’s commitment to maintaining the look and demeanor of his character was crucial. Khalid Rahman insisted on preserving the integrity of the character’s appearance, which Lukman adhered to throughout his transformation. The actor described the journey as "fruitful" and noted that the results were well worth the effort.
Alappuzha Gymkhana, a comedy-action entertainer with a boxing backdrop, is being produced under the banners of Plan B Motion Pictures and Reelistic Studios. This marks the first production venture of Plan B Motion Pictures. The film is written by Khalid Rahman and Sreeni Saseendran, with dialogues penned by Ratheesh Ravi.
The film stars Naslen, Ganapathi, Lukman, Sandeep Pradeep (from Falimy fame), and Anagha Ravi in key roles. Other important characters are portrayed by Franco Francis, Baby Jean, Shiva Hariharan, Shon Joy, Karthik, Nanda Nishanth, and Noila Franci.
With its unique premise and Lukman Avaran’s inspiring physical transformation, Alappuzha Gymkhana has already begun to capture the attention of audiences and is set to become a major release in the coming months.
