‘Alappuzha Gymkhana’, directed by Khalid Rahman and starring an ensemble cast including Naslen, Anagha Ravi, Ganapathi, and Lukman Avaran, has received an astounding reception at the box office. The boxing-themed film is currently enjoying a great run in theatres.

Meanwhile, what’s grabbing attention at the moment is Naslen’s candid revelation during the movie’s promotions. When the young actor was asked whether he had to give up an opportunity to work with Thala Ajith Kumar while shooting for Alappuzha Gymkhana, Naslen spilled the beans by revealing that he was indeed supposed to be part of Thala’s Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, which is currently running in theatres.

“Yes, what you heard is right. I was approached to be a part of Good Bad Ugly, but at that time, I was shooting for Gymkhana. The Adhik directorial was a huge project involving big actors and spanned over two schedules. But I couldn’t accept the role because of my other commitments!”

When the audience curiously asked about the role he was offered, Naslen didn’t hold back. 'I was offered the role of Ajith Kumar’s son in the movie,' he said — a role that later went to budding actor Karthikeya Dev.

The Vishu season has seen a flurry of releases, including Naslen-starrer Alappuzha Gymkhana, Basil Joseph’s Maranammass, Mammootty’s Bazooka, and Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly. All the movies continue to enjoy a good run in theatres, receiving largely positive reviews.
