Oman: Director Blessy revealed that some made efforts to prevent the filming of his movie 'Aadujeevitham' in Oman.

Speaking at a press conference organised by the Oman Film Society, the National Award-winning director alleged that the inability to shoot the film in Oman was due to some Malayalis. 

"Many locations had been identified for the filming of ‘Aadujeevitham’. Efforts were made to obtain permission for shooting. However, certain individuals from Malayali community spread unwarranted rumours, claiming that the book 'Aadujeevitham' had been banned. Consequently, we were unable to proceed with the filming process."

Actor Thalib Al Balushi, who played a key role in the movie, also attended the press conference. When asked if the film would win an Oscar, both Blessy and Balushi responded that it requires them to spend crores. They also clarified that efforts are continuing for the screening of the film in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

K.R. Gokul, who appeared in the role of Hakim in ‘Aadujeevitham’; Jithin Raj, who composed the song ‘Periyone’; Omani singer Jahad Al Araisi; and Omani actor and director Muneer also attended the press conference.
