Directed by Dhananjay Shankar, it features Dileep as 'The Commoner' who orchestrates the CM's abduction, demanding the public's grievances be heard.

The Malayalam film industry’s high-octane action-comedy Bha Bha Ba (standing for Bhayam, Bhakthi, Bahumanam) is officially transitioning from the big screen to digital streaming. Following its theatrical debut in late 2025, the film has secured its streaming partner and is ready to reach a global audience, allowing fans to witness the latest collaboration between industry stalwarts Dileep and Mohanlal from the comfort of their homes.
OTT Release Date and Streaming Platform
Viewers can mark their calendars for January 16, 2026, as the official digital premiere date. The streaming rights for the film were acquired by ZEE5, which will host the movie starting at midnight. While the film will be available in its original Malayalam audio with English subtitles, the platform has yet to confirm if dubbed versions in other South Indian languages will be released simultaneously.
The Plot: Satire and Social Justice
Directed by debutant Dhananjay Shankar, the story follows a mysterious protagonist known as "The Commoner" (Dileep). The narrative kicks off with the daring abduction of the Kerala Chief Minister, C.K. Joseph. Instead of a traditional ransom, the kidnapper demands that the public submit their grievances via a mobile letter collection unit, forcing the government to address long-ignored civic issues. The ensuing manhunt is led by the CM’s son, Noble Joseph (Vineeth Sreenivasan), a dedicated National Enforcement Agency officer.
Star Power and Nostalgic Cameos
A major highlight of the film is the extended cameo by Mohanlal, who plays "Ghilli" Bala, an eccentric and powerful gangster. His character, an obsessive fan of Tamil superstar Vijay, brings a unique "meta" energy to the film, filled with references to iconic South Indian cinema. The chemistry between Dileep and Mohanlal serves as a major draw, particularly for fans of vintage Malayalam comedy.
