After Premalu’s blockbuster success, Girish AD is back with another romantic comedy — this time starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju

Rom-com fans, get ready for a laugh riot with heart! Malayalam superstar Nivin Pauly is back — and he’s pairing up with Premalu sensation Mamitha Baiju for a brand-new romantic comedy titled Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.
The film marks the sixth production by Bhavana Studios, the hit-making team of Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran — the same power trio that gave us Kumbalangi Nights, Joji, and Premalu.
Directed by: Girish AD
Written by: Girish AD & Kiran Josey
Cinematography: Ajmal Sabu
Music: Vishnu Vijay
Editing: Akash Joseph Varghese
Distribution: Bhavana Release
Shoot Begins: September 2025
This fun-titled film — Bethlehem Kudumba Unit — promises to be a wholesome entertainer with comedy, chaos, and charming chemistry. If Premalu made you blush and giggle, this one might just do it again, with Nivin in his signature boy-next-door avatar.
While the full cast remains under wraps, reports suggest the film will feature an exciting supporting lineup and is currently in pre-production. Rumour mills also hint at a bigger budget than Girish AD's previous outings.
Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly has a busy slate. Apart from this film, he’s also leading Sarvam Maya by Akhil Sathyan (rumoured for a Christmas 2025 release) and is reportedly playing the villain in the Tamil action-drama Benz. He also has a key role in the emotional drama Baby Girl.
As for Premalu 2? Sources confirm it’s still alive — just waiting for the perfect script.
With an all-star creative team, crowd-favourite actors, and a genre that Malayalam cinema does brilliantly, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is already among 2025’s most anticipated films. If you loved Premalu, keep your eyes on this one.
