Filmmaker Atlee, best known for films such as Jawan, Theri, Bigil and Mersal, along with his wife Priya, have been blessed with their second child — a baby girl.
The director shared the happy news on Monday, 20 April, through a heartfelt social media post. The announcement featured a cartoon illustration of their elder son Meer, sitting in a toy car, excitedly declaring: “Yay! I’ve got a baby sister! Big Brother Meer.” The post also confirmed the arrival of their daughter, reading: “We, Priya & Atlee, are blessed with a baby girl,” alongside the date of birth. Atlee kept the caption simple, writing, “Feeling blessed.”
The post quickly drew warm reactions from friends and colleagues in the film industry. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu congratulated the couple with heart emojis, while Kajal Aggarwal sent her wishes to the newborn, the parents, and extended family, including big brother Meer. Ananya Panday also joined in, offering her congratulations with affectionate emojis.

Atlee and Priya, who married in November 2014 after several years of relationship, welcomed their first child, a son named Meer, in 2023.
On the professional front, Atlee made his directorial debut with Raja Rani in 2013 and went on to deliver several major box office successes, including collaborations with actor Vijay in Theri, Mersal and Bigil, and with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. He is currently working on his upcoming film Raaka, starring Allu Arjun.
