The controversy began after actress Ansiba Hassan alleged that actor Tini Tom and certain others within AMMA were responsible for her resignation as Joint Secretary of the organisation

Actor Asif Ali has responded to the ongoing controversy within the Malayalam film actors' association, AMMA, stating that issues arising within the organisation should be addressed internally. He suggested that actress Ansiba Hassan may have spoken publicly out of frustration after leaving the organisation.
"Problems within an organisation should be resolved within the organisation itself. There is always room for that. It is only when issues remain unresolved that people like Ansiba may feel compelled to come forward and speak about them out of helplessness," Asif Ali said.

He added that he does not have a clear understanding of the allegations currently being discussed and has been following developments through media reports.
"I am also learning about these matters through the media. Therefore, I do not think it would be appropriate for me to express an opinion at this stage. I can comment only after hearing both sides," he said.
The controversy began after actress Ansiba Hassan alleged that actor Tini Tom and certain others within AMMA were responsible for her resignation as Joint Secretary of the organisation. Speaking to the media, Ansiba claimed that Tini Tom had spread malicious rumours about her and made communal remarks.
She further alleged that he referred to her as a "jihadist" and accused her of attempting to convert his driver and the son of another production controller, remarks she described as insulting and defamatory.
Tini Tom has strongly denied the allegations, stating that he did not behave in such a manner. He said that the AMMA executive committee should examine the matter and arrive at a decision. He also suggested that there may be individuals within the organisation working against him and claimed that a conspiracy was being orchestrated to damage his reputation.
Ansiba Hassan resigned from her position as Joint Secretary of AMMA on 21 February. At the time, she cited personal reasons and professional commitments as the reasons for stepping down.
