The teaser of a distinctive Tamil song from Arjun Ashokan's upcoming film "Thalavara" has been released. The song, beginning with the lines 'Nila Nila Nee Kel… Idayam Thirinth Paare… has lyrics penned by Tito P Thankachan, composed by Vijayanand, and sung by Anandu. The film is slated for theatrical release on August 22.

Set against the backdrop of a Tamil girl arriving in Kerala, the story revolves around a group of young men following her and the struggles faced by one among them. The film, presented in the unique dialect of Palakkad, has already caught attention with its teaser, which went viral on social media. Arjun Ashokan, one of Malayalam cinema's most notable young actors, will be seen in a strikingly different get-up, unlike anything he has attempted so far.

Produced by acclaimed filmmakers Mahesh Narayanan and Shebin Backer, known for several notable projects, "Thalavara" is directed by Akhil Anilkumar. The film is jointly produced under the banners of Shebin Backer Productions and Moving Narratives, with Revathy Sarma in the lead female role. Given the creative backing of Mahesh Narayanan, director of Take Off, C U Soon, Malik, and Ariyippu, along with Shebin Backer, producer of acclaimed works like Charlie, Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and Ariyippu, expectations surrounding the film are high.

Earlier, the romantic track 'Kandu Kandu Poochendu Then Vandu Pole Vannu Ninnu…' was released to much acclaim, followed by the song 'Ilakozhiye…', which has also been widely embraced on social media.

The film features an extensive ensemble cast including Ashokan, Devadarshini Chetan, Sharath Sabha, Athira Maryam, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Prashanth Murali, Sam Mohan, Harish Kumar, Sohan Seenulal, Shaju Sreedhar, Vishnu Raghu, Muhammad Rafi, Manoj Moses, Shebin Benson, Ashwath Lal, Amit Mohan Rajeswari, among others.
