Apoorva Mukhija also known as  'The Rebel Kid' on social media, has reappeared on Instagram after maintaining a month-long silence in the wake of the India’s Got Latent controversy.

The social media personality, who was embroiled in the backlash surrounding the show’s controversial episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, finally posted a message to her followers through her broadcast channel on March 13.

Apoorva’s Instagram return

Apoorva’s message read, "Diwaaro ke bhi kaan hote hain" (Even walls have ears), suggesting a veiled response to the controversy. She followed it up with another brief note thanking her supporters: "So thank you."

Her return marks her first public interaction since February 10, the same day Ranveer Allahbadia issued an apology over his comments in the controversial episode. Prior to this, her last post on her Rebellions channel was a cryptic message stating, "This is not how I should be rn."

India’s Got Latent controversy

The controversy erupted after an episode of Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India’s Got Latent, featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and Jaspreet Singh, sparked severe backlash over offensive remarks. Following public outrage, all episodes of the show were removed from YouTube.

Last month, both Apoorva and Ranveer were seen visiting the National Commission for Women (NCW) office, where they submitted written apologies. She was also spotted at the Khar police station, covering her face while avoiding media queries.

Apoorva’s absence from Nadaaniyan promotions

Aside from the controversy, Apoorva recently appeared in Netflix’s Nadaaniyan, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. However, she remained noticeably absent from the film’s promotions and premiere, further fueling speculation about her silence. She did not share any posts related to the film on her Instagram account.

While Apoorva has now resumed activity on social media, it remains to be seen whether she will address the controversy directly or return to content creation. Her cryptic message has left followers speculating about her next move in the aftermath of the backlash.
