New York: Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway had a minor mishap on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City, when she fell down a short flight of steps after the heel of her shoe snapped during filming. The 41-year-old, who reprises her role as Andy Sachs in the highly anticipated sequel, was shooting a scene in a residential neighbourhood when the incident occurred.

Hathaway, dressed in character in a chic ensemble featuring a knee-length black pleated skirt, sheer plaid top layered over a black tank, silver-studded strappy heels, and oversized sunglasses, lost her footing while descending a stoop. She landed on her bottom, with one leg awkwardly tucked beneath her, and her hair falling across her face.

Despite the unexpected fall, the actress recovered swiftly. In a video clip that has since gone viral on social media, Hathaway can be seen getting back on her feet, smiling, raising her hands in the air and assuring the crew, “I’m fine!” — all while still holding half a bagel in one hand. Moments later, she was seen hugging crew members, sharing a laugh, and continuing with the shoot unfazed.

Photographs from the set captured Hathaway grinning as she leaned on a crew member for support, still wearing the broken heel. In one image, she is seen hobbling down the pavement, clearly taking the incident in her stride.

It remains uncertain whether the fall was scripted or purely accidental, but fans and onlookers alike have praised her professionalism and light-hearted reaction.

Directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna — the original creative duo behind the 2006 hit — The Devil Wears Prada 2 will see the return of the iconic cast including Meryl Streep (Miranda Priestly), Emily Blunt (Emily Charlton), and Stanley Tucci (Nigel). The sequel also welcomes newcomers Justin Theroux, Simone Ashley, Kenneth Branagh, Rachel Bloom, Lucy Liu, and Pauline Chalamet.
