Amul has once again served up creativity on toast. The iconic dairy brand paid a witty tribute to 'Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra', Malayalam cinema’s first female superhero film, which has been smashing box-office records since its August 28 release.

The animated doodle, shared on Amul’s official Instagram page, features Kalyani Priyadarshan—who plays the titular superhero—holding a slice of bread generously buttered. The backdrop echoes the movie’s action-packed vibe, while the tagline, “Lokahl superhero, chapter 1 of breakfast,” adds Amul’s signature wordplay to the blockbuster moment.

Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the film has not only won audiences for its visual spectacle and gripping narrative but also surpassed recent Malayalam hits at the box office. Kalyani’s performance as Chandra has been hailed as one of her finest, earning widespread praise for bringing authenticity and strength to the superhero character.

For Dulquer, casting Kalyani was instinctive. Calling her “like a sister,” he noted her sincerity and dedication to shaping the role, sentiments he has shared since their earlier collaboration in Varane Avashyamund.

The film follows Chandra, who returns to Bengaluru after two decades in Sweden, only to lead a mysterious double life that sparks intrigue and unravels hidden truths. With 'Lokah: Chapter 1' – Chandra roaring at the box office, fans are already buzzing as work on Lokah Part 2 is underway.
