Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently shared a humorous insight into his relationship with son Abhishek Bachchan, revealing that the actor had taken all his shoes long ago. The light-hearted remark came during a Diwali special episode of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', when Ranbir Kapoor asked the veteran actor about the similarities and differences between him and his son.

During the interaction, Ranbir posed an interesting question, asking Amitabh to identify one trait that he and Abhishek shared and another that made them different.

“Sir ek aisi quality hai jo aap mein aur Abhishek mein common hai, aur ek aisi quality jo completely different hai... kya woh hume bata sakte hain?” Ranbir asked.

He also jokingly ruled out height as a possible answer, saying, “Ek quality jo common hai, ek quality jo different hai... aur aap height nahi keh sakte, woh quality nahi hai.”

Rather than directly listing their similarities and differences, Amitabh responded with an old saying about how the relationship between a father and son changes as the child grows older.

“Bahut pehle humne suna tha ki agar pita ke joote putra pehenna shuru kar de, toh fir woh putra nahi hota, woh mitra ho jata hai... Bhai saheb, unhone bahut pehle hamare joote le liye the, aur jitna jootha tha hamare paas sab unke paas pahunch gaya hai,” he said.

His witty response drew laughter from the audience while also reflecting the friendship and understanding he shares with Abhishek.

The remark offered a glimpse into their relationship beyond the film industry, suggesting how their bond has evolved over the years from that of a father and son to one built on companionship.

Abhishek, meanwhile, has frequently spoken about the influence his father has had on his personal and professional life. In several interviews, the actor has described himself as Amitabh's biggest fan and recalled how watching his father's performances during his childhood shaped his admiration for cinema.

He has also praised Amitabh's commitment to acting and his ability to adapt to changing times, taking on diverse roles throughout his career.

Beyond their personal relationship, the two actors have collaborated on several notable Bollywood films. Their shared filmography includes 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Sarkar', 'Sarkar Raj', 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' and 'Paa'.

Among these, 'Paa' stands out for its unconventional casting, with the real-life father and son reversing their roles on screen. Abhishek portrayed the father of Auro, played by Amitabh, a young boy living with progeria, a rare genetic condition associated with accelerated ageing.

Abhishek had previously described playing his own father's father in the film as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, highlighting the unusual experience of portraying a parental figure to someone he has admired throughout his life.
