'Kalki 2898 AD', the latest cinematic offering starring Prabhas, is making waves in Indian cinema, garnering praise from audiences, filmmakers, and critics alike.
Recently, superstar Allu Arjun shared a note on social media sending praises to the movie’s team.
Described as a captivating blend of the Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction, 'Kalki' tells the story of three worlds - ‘Kashi’, 'Complex' and 'Shambhala'. The film depicts a journey spanning the millennia from the epic events of the Mahabharata in 3101 AD to 2898 AD.
Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Vijay Devarakonda, Prabhas appeared as 'Bhairava', while Deepika Padukone played the heroine 'Sumathi', Amitabh Bachchan played the role of 'Ashwatthama' and Kamal Haasan played the role of 'Yaskin', and 'Roxie' is played by Disha Patani.
Directed by a talented team and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the high-budget extravaganza has been released in six languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
Released theatrically on 27 June 2024, the film collected a total of Rs 298.5 crores on its second day.
