In a surprising development, the much-anticipated collaboration between Tollywood star Allu Arjun and acclaimed director Atlee Kumar has been abruptly shelved.
Reports emerging from the Telugu industry suggest that the project has encountered a significant hurdle due to unresolved financial negotiations.
It is rumoured that Atlee reportedly demanded a staggering Rs 80 crores for the project. This hefty demand is rumoured to have prompted the producers to reconsider their stance, ultimately leading to the decision to withdraw from the collaboration.
Meanwhile, reports from a Telugu media outlet suggest that Atlee may now be exploring alternative avenues. It is speculated that he could potentially approach a leading Bollywood superstar to take on the lead role in the movie. However, it remains unclear whether the reports are true or not.
The move comes in the wake of Atlee's recent directorial success, "Jawan," starring Shah Rukh Khan, which emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023 and the second-highest-grossing Hindi film.
