Aditi Rao Hydari, the talented actress, recently took to social media to express her gratitude as her Tamil movie ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ directed by Mani Ratnam completed seven years since its release.

The film, released on April 7, 2017, stars Karthi alongside Aditi Rao Hydari, with KPAC Lalitha, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Delhi Ganesh, RJ Balaji, and Shraddha Srinath playing other lead roles. Celebrating its seventh year, the actress delighted fans by sharing throwback pictures with her co-stars, including a heartfelt one featuring late KPAC Lalitha.

Aditi also fondly remembered her character 'Leela' in the movie. “Leela- ‘yes?’ Yes! Always yes! We are always told that people don’t change, and we should not expect them to, but Varun did for Leela. Leela walked away from him, believing that if he changed, he would come looking for her, crossing seven seas, seven mountains, and seven years!” she wrote.

Aditi, who recently announced her engagement with actor Siddharth, also praised Mani Ratnam. "It’s been 7 years! Thank you for the love that keeps growing for this love story. It's made me a believer. And you must be one too, and that’s our superpower! Mani Sir is magic; he gets into the heads of his characters in a way that you want to ask, How do you know?!
His Leela balanced courage, agency, playfulness, curiosity, kindness, authenticity, stubbornness, and dignity with the idealism and power of true love, where her self-respect and belief were never compromised."
