Mumbai: Bollywood actress Nafisa Ali, known to Malayalam audiences for her appearance in the Mammootty-starrer Big B, has shared an update on her battle with cancer.
She revealed on Facebook that she is preparing for the next stage of treatment after her recent PET scan.
“A new chapter in my journey from today. I had my PET scan yesterday … so back to chemotherapy as surgery is not possible & it’s stage 4 cancer. Believe me … I love life,” Nafisa wrote, attaching images from her scans.
Nafisa Ali was first diagnosed with cancer in November 2018, when tests revealed peritoneal and ovarian cancer at stage 3. Following treatment, she went into remission in 2019. Over the years, she has openly discussed the struggles and challenges she faced during her fight against the disease.
She has acted in several Bollywood films, including Junoon (1979) with Shashi Kapoor, Major Saab (1998) with Amitabh Bachchan, Bewafaa (2005), Life In A... Metro (2007), Guzaarish (2010), and Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011).
