Thalassery: Actress Minu Mariam (Minu Muneer, 51), a resident of Aluva, has filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Thalassery District Sessions Court, citing the possibility of a case being registered against her by the police. The application follows complaints lodged against several actors after the release of the Hema Commission Report. Minu Muneer has sought anticipatory bail, expressing concern over a potential false case.

Earlier, she had submitted a Right to Information (RTI) request to the Kannur Rural SP and the City Police Commissioner, but no information regarding a case against her was provided. In her application, she also requested bail in case of arrest, stating her willingness to comply with any court-imposed conditions. 

District Judge K.T. Nisar Ahmed reviewed the anticipatory bail plea on Friday. Public Prosecutor K. Ajith Kumar argued that a police report was essential for further consideration. Consequently, the court adjourned the hearing to October 3.
