Actress Manju Pillai and cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev have ended their 24-year marriage. Vaassudev announced the split in a YouTube interview.

He said that he had been living separately from Manju since 2020 and the divorce proceedings have been completed. Sujith expressed admiration for Manju's professional achievements and emphasized that they still maintain a friendly relationship, despite the divorce. 

"We have been separated since 2020. We got divorced last month. Now I want to call Manju a friend and our friendship still exists. Manju's career is going well. The feeling of happiness when witnessing a close friend achieving great success is truly amazing," said Vaassudev.

The duo got married in 2000 and have a daughter together, Daya.  Speculations about their separation had been swirling for quite some time, but neither party had confirmed anything until now.
