Kochi: Actor Asif Ali has stated that he does not make any deliberate efforts to maintain or nurture his fanbase and tends to stay away from social media discussions about himself. The revelation came during an interview with the YouTube channel Originals, while promoting his upcoming film Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali.

When asked how he engages with or maintains his fans, Asif Ali responded candidly, “I don’t do anything in particular for that. Honestly, I’m quite afraid of such things. People tend to place unnecessary expectations on you.”

He went on to clarify that he doesn’t read what fans or followers post about him online. “An actor without haters, someone who behaves well with everyone—these aren’t things I do intentionally, nor is it my inherent nature. Things can fall apart at any moment. I don’t find joy in such pretences,” he added.

Asif Ali plays the lead in Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali, a film written and directed by debutant Sethunath Padmakumar. The movie is produced by Naisam Salam under the banner of Naisam Salam Productions.

The film also stars Thulasi and Shreya Rukmini in key roles, along with a supporting cast that includes Jagadish, Harisree Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Azees Nedumangad, Joji, Vijayakumar, and Balachandran Chullikkad, among other seasoned actors.
