Kochi: Mollywood actor Vinayakan was arrested following a disturbance at the Ernakulam town police station. The altercation occurred in the midst of a case related to a family matter, resulting in a case being filed against Vinayakan for obstructing the station's operations.
The actor was subjected to a medical examination to assess his condition.

According to police, Vinayakan himself called police around Tuesday noon to mediate a domestic dispute with his wife. Statements were recorded from both parties. Dissatisfied with the police response, Vinayakan returned to the station later in the day, demanding the identity of the female officer who had taken his statement at home.
During his visit to the police station, Vinayakan was found smoking, leading to an immediate fine. This action escalated into a verbal dispute with a sub-inspector. Allegedly, Vinayakan used abusive language against the police officers present.
Suspecting intoxication, the police took Vinayakan to Ernakulam General Hospital for a medical examination, which reportedly tested positive for alcohol.
Vinayakan responded to news channels that he didn't know why he was arrested or the charges against him. Police later let him off on bail after due procedure.
