Kochi: Actor Bala shared his thoughts with the media after his wedding on Wednesday, explaining that he felt the need for support following his liver transplant, which led him to marry again. He expressed confidence in his new relationship, stating, "I believe this will go well."
"I am confident about this as she is a relative of mine. For the past year, I’ve been eating well, sleeping better, and taking my medications properly. My health has improved greatly," Bala said.
The bride, Kokila, is from Tamil Nadu and does not speak Malayalam. Bala noted that his mother, who is 74 years old and facing health challenges, could not attend the wedding. Bala also said that it was his mother's greatest wish for him. He also said that this alliance was Kokila’s wish since childhood. Bala emphasised that both he and Kokila are very happy and at peace with their decision.
The couple tied the knot this morning at the Kaloor Pavakulam temple in Ernakulam at around 8:30 am. The ceremony was attended by close relatives and friends, and Kokila is Bala’s relative from Chennai.
This marks Bala’s third marriage. His first was to singer Amrutha Suresh, with whom he has a daughter named Avantika. Their marriage ended in divorce. Bala's second marriage was to Elizabeth, which generated public interest as well, but they had been living separately for some time, and that marriage was not legally registered.
