Aamir Khan will marry girlfriend Gauri Spratt on July 5 in an intimate ceremony at his Bandra home. The actor has reportedly decided against hosting a wedding reception.

Aamir Khan is keeping his third wedding low-key.
The actor is set to marry his partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5 in an intimate ceremony at his Bandra home in Mumbai, opting for a private celebration instead of a star-studded reception. Unlike the lavish event he recently hosted to mark the 25th anniversary of Aamir Khan Productions, the wedding will be a close-knit affair attended only by family members and close friends.
The couple will reportedly register their marriage at Khan's residence before holding a small ceremony in the first half of the day. There are no plans for a grand reception, making the occasion a stark contrast to the high-profile celebrations often associated with Bollywood weddings.
An intimate family affair
One of the most significant aspects of the ceremony is expected to be the involvement of the couple's children from their previous marriages.
Aamir's children, actor Junaid Khan and entrepreneur Ira Khan from his marriage to Reena Dutta, along with his son Azad from his marriage to filmmaker Kiran Rao, are all expected to play a role in the celebrations. Gauri's son from her previous marriage is also set to be part of the intimate ceremony, making it a family-centred occasion.
A relationship away from the spotlight
Aamir and Gauri first met in Bengaluru through the actor's cousin, Nuzhat Khan. After dating for about a year, Aamir publicly introduced Gauri as his partner ahead of his 60th birthday celebrations in March last year.
The couple have since been living together at Aamir's Bandra residence.
Gauri previously worked with a leading haircare brand in Bengaluru before relocating to Mumbai. She is now associated with Aamir Khan Productions and assists with the production house's operations.
Aamir on marrying at 60
Aamir confirmed last month that he would marry Gauri on July 5.
Speaking earlier about the possibility of marriage, the actor had joked, "Iss umar mein shaadi karna mujhe shobha nahi deta" (It doesn’t feel right to get married at my age), before adding that he feels very "settled" with Gauri.
What's next for Aamir Khan?
On the professional front, Aamir was last seen in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, the 2025 sports drama that received a positive response from both critics and audiences. Earlier this year, he also made a cameo appearance in ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ while serving as one of its producers.
His much-anticipated biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke, to be directed by Rajkumar Hirani, has reportedly been delayed because of script revisions and creative differences.
In the meantime, Aamir is said to be collaborating with Hirani on a sequel to ‘3 Idiots’. He has also reportedly reunited with ‘Lagaan’ director Ashutosh Gowariker for another sports drama, although the project has not been officially announced. Industry speculation has further linked the actor to a potential collaboration with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, but no formal confirmation has been made.
