Just days after reportedly marrying in a private ceremony in Mumbai, Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt are already making headlines over reports of their future family home. While the newlyweds are currently staying at the actor's rented residence in Pali Hill, reports suggest their long-term address will be a sprawling luxury property currently under development in Mumbai's upscale Khar neighbourhood.

According to a report by The Free Press Journal, Aamir has been quietly building an extensive property portfolio at the redeveloped Marina Apartments in Union Park over several years. The project, which is expected to be completed around 2030, is reportedly being planned as a multi-generational family residence, with homes allocated for several of the actor's closest relatives.

A multi-level 'sky villa' planned for the couple

The report claims that Aamir and Gauri will eventually occupy the top three floors of the upcoming high-rise, alongside Gauri's son, Quinn. The residence is reportedly being designed as a sky villa spanning multiple levels, making it one of the actor's most ambitious real estate projects to date.

Sources cited by the publication suggest the actor has also planned an entire floor exclusively for hosting private gatherings and family celebrations. Known for organising intimate get-togethers attended by close friends from the film industry, cricket and business circles, Aamir is reportedly incorporating dedicated entertainment spaces into the design of the home.

The Marina redevelopment is currently under construction and is expected to be ready for occupancy by the end of the decade.

Family members to live under one roof

Beyond creating a home for himself and Gauri, the actor is also reportedly ensuring that several members of his family remain close by.

As per the report, his son, actor Junaid Khan, will receive an entire floor in the building. Separate apartments have also reportedly been earmarked for filmmaker Kiran Rao and their son Azad.

A source told the portal, “Aamir is getting a floor readied for his 33-year-old actor son, Junaid Khan, from his first marriage to Reena Dutta. Besides this, some of the other flats in the building will also go to filmmaker Kiran Rao and Azad (Aamir’s son from his second marriage to Kiran)."

The report further states that Aamir's mother, Zeenat Hussain, and his sisters, Nikhat Khan and Farhat Dutta, are also expected to have residences within the same complex, turning the development into a shared family address.

Report claims actor has invested over Rs 100 crore

According to the publication, Aamir has allegedly paid an advance exceeding Rs 100 crore towards acquiring additional apartments for members of his extended family.

Neither the actor nor his representatives have publicly commented on the reports regarding the alleged investment or the reported residential plans.

For now, Aamir and Gauri are said to be living at Wilnomona on Nargis Dutt Road in Mumbai's Pali Hill. The report adds that the actor currently rents four luxury apartments in the building, where several members of his family, including his mother and sons, are already residing. With Gauri and Quinn now joining the family, the arrangement reportedly allows everyone to remain close until the Marina project is completed.

A private wedding after years of friendship

Aamir married Gauri Spratt on July 5 in an intimate ceremony held at his rented apartment in Pali Hill. The couple had known each other for nearly two decades before beginning a relationship around two years ago.

Gauri, who is based in Bengaluru, reportedly comes from a multicultural background with a Tamilian mother and an Irish father. She has a professional background in hairdressing and earned an FDA in Fashion, Styling and Photography from the University of the Arts London. Reports also state that her grandfather was a freedom fighter.

The wedding marked Aamir's third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares children Junaid and Ira, before the couple separated in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and although they announced their separation in 2021, they continue to co-parent their son, Azad.

Wedding followed by controversy

The reports about the couple's future residence have emerged amid protests by members of the Bajrang Dal in Bihar's Forbesganj, who have accused the actor of "Love Jihad" following his marriage to Gauri.
