After years in Mumbai, Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam have reportedly shifted their permanent base to their Himachal Pradesh property, a home that holds a special place in their relationship and family life.

Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam are reportedly moving away from Mumbai, with the filmmaker-actor couple now making their Himachal Pradesh property their permanent base. According to a report by NDTV, the couple have been spending increasing amounts of time at their home in Gohar, Mandi, and have now shifted there.
The decision comes after years of Yami’s close association with Himachal Pradesh. While Mumbai has remained central to the couple’s professional lives, their Himachal property has long been an important part of their personal life.
A home with a special connection to Yami
Yami’s bond with Himachal Pradesh predates her marriage to Aditya Dhar. The actor had bought a 100-year-old heritage house along with a 25-acre plot in Gohar, Mandi. Built using wood and stone, the property also has organic kitchen gardens where the couple reportedly grow apples, potatoes, plums and ginger.

The property holds a particularly special place in their lives as it was where Yami and Aditya got married in June 2021. Over the years, it has evolved from a retreat into a space closely connected to their family life.
For a long time, however, work kept the couple based in Mumbai. They had been living in a rented apartment in Khar West, where they reportedly stayed for several years.
Why the shift comes now
Aditya has maintained a relatively low public profile following the success of ‘Dhurandhar’. One of his recent public appearances was at the National Film Awards ceremony in Gujarat, where the couple were recognised for ‘Article 370’. Aditya received the honour as a producer, while Yami was recognised for her performance in the film.
The couple have also largely kept their family life away from public attention. They welcomed their son Vedavid in May 2024 but have chosen not to show his face publicly. Even when Yami shared a picture with her son in September 2025, his face was kept concealed.
With their Himachal property already deeply intertwined with their personal lives, the reported move marks a new chapter for the couple away from Mumbai’s constant spotlight.
