Urvashi is one of the winners the National Film Award for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘Ullozhukku’ at the 71st National Film Awards. She was commended “for anchoring the story’s emotions and elevating its narrative.” She shared the award with Janki Bodiwala for the Gujarati film, Vash (Hypnosis).
‘Ullozhukku’ revolves around Leelamma, portrayed by Urvashi, and her daughter-in-law Anju, played by Parvathy, delving into their struggle to bury a loved one in flood-hit Kuttanad while long-buried secrets and lies threaten their unity. Written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik, ‘Vash’ portrays a young girl being entrapped by a stranger using black magic, while she is on vacation with her family.
‘Ullozhukku’ is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, while ‘Vash’ can be watched on ShemarooMe.
