The world’s premier electronic dance music (EDM) festival is officially heading to Southeast Asia. Organisers of Tomorrowland confirmed on Tuesday that Thailand will host the brand’s first full-scale Asian edition in December 2026, marking a major milestone in the festival’s global expansion.

The three-day event is scheduled for Dec. 11–13, 2026, at Wisdom Valley in Pattaya, a 237-acre site chosen for its tropical landscape and proximity to major travel hubs.

A Landmark Five-Year Deal

The announcement follows a strategic partnership between the Belgian festival group WEAREONE.world, the Thai government, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The agreement outlines a five-year residency (2026–2030), with the Thai cabinet reportedly approving a 2-billion-baht ($61.5 million) budget to support the festival’s annual rollout.

Economic analysts project the festival will generate a staggering 21 billion baht ($673 million) in economic value over its initial five-year run, drawing an estimated 1 million visitors to the Chonburi province.

World-Class Stages, Local Identity

While the lineup remains under wraps, organisers confirmed that several of Tomorrowland’s most iconic stages will make their Asian debut:

  • CORE and Freedom Stages: These fan-favourite structures will be shipped from Europe to Pattaya.
  • Custom Environments: The festival will feature a "Mainstage" and several new stages designed specifically to blend Tomorrowland’s fantasy storytelling with Thai cultural elements.
  • Attendance: The venue is prepared to host over 50,000 attendees per day.

Logistics and "Discover Thailand" Packages

Unlike the flagship event in Belgium, Tomorrowland Thailand will not offer on-site camping (DreamVille). Instead, the festival will focus on a "Discover Thailand" model, offering hotel packages in the Pattaya and Chonburi areas that include daily shuttle services to the venue.

Key Ticket Dates:

  • Jan. 8, 2026: Pre-registration opens (16:00 GMT+7).
  • Feb. 28, 2026: Official Hotel Packages go on sale.
  • Mar. 7, 2026: Worldwide Ticket Sale begins.

Positioning Thailand as a Global Hub

"Expanding Tomorrowland to a new continent is a milestone we approach with great respect and excitement," said Bruno Vanwelsenaers, CEO of WEAREONE.world. "Thailand feels like the right place... because of the shared ambition to create something meaningful and world-class together."

The move aligns with Thailand’s broader strategy to position itself as a regional leader in "experience-driven tourism," following the successful hosting of other major festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) and Creamfields.
