
Thiruvananthapuram: The new promotional video of Kerala Tourism, titled "Ente Keralam Ennum Sundharam," showcasing the state's diverse tourism and scenic beauty, has gone viral on social media.
The 2.24-minute video showcases the diverse landscapes of Kerala, including backwaters, the sea, and hill stations. It promotes Kerala as a year-round tourist destination and includes traditional arts, rituals, festivals, and local cuisine in its content.
The video was launched by Tourism Minister P.A. Muhammad Riyas during an event in Mananthavady, Wayanad. The video gracefully captures the sight of houseboats gliding through serene backwaters, snake boats, traditional folk art performances in rural settings, the vibrant ‘Theyyam’ rituals, the 'Kudamattam' event at Thrissur Pooram, and festivities like 'Pulikali' and 'Kalaripayattu'. The unique charm of Kerala is beautifully portrayed throughout the video.
From picturesque beaches, the stunning beauty of Kuttanad's backwaters, the captivating high ranges, the wild splendour of Athirappilly waterfalls, the awe-inspiring views from Jatayu Earth's Center, to the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and the rural landscapes of paddy fields – the video captures the essence of Kerala. It also highlights the unity and resilience of Kerala in facing challenges together.
Composed by Prayaan band and written by Santhosh Varma and MC Couper, the song is sung by Arya Dhayal, Gowry Lekshmi, MC Couper, and Ajiit Sathyan.
Kerala Tourism has successfully engaged travellers through social media campaigns that highlight new tourism projects and products. Last year, Kerala achieved an all-time record in the number of domestic tourists. There has also been steady progress in attracting foreign tourists, and Kerala Tourism aims to continue this trend in the upcoming tourist season.
