Singer Sithara Krishnakumar has slammed the racist remarks and body-shaming comments by social media users in the latest video shared on her social media page.
In the one-hour-long video, Sithara opened up about receiving negative comments insulting her appearance on her photos without makeup.
The singerโs video has gone viral on the social media page.
Sithara questioned social media users who praised her elegant look with makeup and expensive outfits.ย
โWhen I post a pic in a causal outfit without wearing makeup, people insult me saying I look like a Bengali or transgender. People only love me when I artificially present myself by putting makeup. Then they find me elegant. I wear makeup and costly outfits in my professional life. But when I post a pic from real life, people attack me with negative comments,โ said Sithara in the video.
By posting the video, Sithara has given a fit reply to those who are fond of artificial beauty.
In the beginning of the video, the singer was seen with makeup and long hair. Talking about the negative comments, she removed her makeup, jewellery and artificial hair one by one as a protest against the negative comments.
