The announcement comes after Aparna’s cryptic birthday post sparked speculation, with Jeeva now saying that they have accepted that their relationship “just won’t work out”

Malayalam television personalities and influencers Jeeva Joseph and Aparna Thomas have confirmed that they are going their separate ways after 11 years of marriage.
Jeeva shared a statement on social media following Aparna’s birthday post, putting an end to weeks of speculation about their relationship.
The couple, who have been familiar faces on television and social media for years, had recently sparked questions among followers after appearing less frequently together online. Aparna’s birthday post had also led to conversations about their relationship.
Jeeva has now addressed the matter directly, saying that their decision to part ways is “strictly personal” and asking people to respect their privacy.
Aparna’s birthday post had already raised questions
The separation comes after a social media post by Aparna on her birthday caught the attention of her followers.
Sharing a series of pictures, she wrote, “Moving forward, to greater heights, and completely alone.”
The reference to being “completely alone” immediately stood out to fans, particularly because there had already been speculation about trouble in her marriage.
The conversation grew after a follower asked Aparna, “Isn’t your wedding anniversary tomorrow?”
Her reply was short: “That was in the past...”
The response was widely interpreted as a sign that things had changed between the couple. At the time, however, there was no direct confirmation from either Jeeva or Aparna about their relationship.
Jeeva’s latest statement has now made their decision clear.
Jeeva confirms they are going separate ways
Sharing a personal note on social media, Jeeva said he knew the news would not be easy to share, particularly because many of their followers had been part of their journey over the years.
He acknowledged that people had come to know and love them as a couple, but said that this would no longer be the case.
“A lot of you liked us as a couple, but from now on, it's not ‘us’ anymore, it's just Jeeva and Aparna,” he wrote.
Jeeva went on to confirm that they had decided to end their marriage after 11 years.
“After 11 years of marriage, we're going our separate ways. Something went wrong somewhere & now we're accepting the truth that it just won't work out,” he said.
According to Jeeva, the decision was made mutually, with the reason remaining a private matter between the two of them.
“So we both have decided to go on our separate ways & the reason behind it is strictly personal,” he added.
‘We ask for privacy and understanding’
Jeeva also addressed their followers directly, asking them to approach the news with the same maturity with which he and Aparna have handled the decision.
He described it as a deeply personal choice and requested privacy while they deal with the change in their lives.
“Hope you guys can take this in a mature way, just like we have. This has been a deeply personal decision, and we ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this,” he wrote.
He ended the message on a reflective note, adding, “As we say, everything happens for a reason, and I really believe it.”
From television to a popular online couple
Jeeva and Aparna got married in August 2015 and went on to become a popular couple among Malayalam television audiences.
Jeeva established himself as a television presenter, while Aparna, who had worked as an air hostess, later explored modelling and content creation. The two also built a strong online following by sharing travel videos, vlogs, reels and glimpses of their life together.
Their joint appearances became a familiar part of their social media presence, which is why the change in their online activity had led to questions from followers.
The couple had also spoken in the past about having a short period of dating before their marriage. They said that, because their courtship was brief, they ended up experiencing much of their romantic phase after getting married, including travelling and watching films together.
Now, after 11 years of marriage, Jeeva and Aparna have confirmed that they will continue their lives separately.
