After the success of ‘Rorschach’, Mammootty on Thursday started the shooting of his new movie ‘Kathal, The Core’. Produced by Mammootty Kampany, the film also has Jyotika in the lead role. The title of the Jeo Baby directorial was announced on Tuesday.

The movie marks Jyotika’s return to the Malayalam film industry after 12 years. Seethakalyanam was the last Malayalam venture that she was a part of.

Dulquer Salman’s Wayfarer Films will do the distribution of the film.

Actor Suriya had shared the film’s title and appreciated the director’s idea for the film.”From day one, this film’s idea & every step taken by Dir JeoBaby & team @MKampanyOffl is so good!!,” he tweeted.

The cast also includes Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni and Sudhi Kozhikode among others. Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria are the writers of the movie.
