Well known as 'Poorna' in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada industries, she shines not only as an actress but also as a devoted mother. Despite facing criticism for choices like pregnancy before marriage, Shamna's journey reflects the resilience and determination that both dreamers and mothers possess.
 
In an exclusive interview to Grihalakshmi, Shamna's conversation, peppered with endearing interactions with her son, turned into a heartwarming talk. Constantly stealing glances at her baby, the recently turned mother continued to express her love for movies and her son, Hamdan.

She disclosed how her recent hit song in the Telugu film 'Gundoorkaram' came amidst post-partum challenges. With the support of choreographer Sekhar Master, co-star Mahesh Babu, and her partner, she silenced body shamers and delivered a stellar performance. Expressing her happiness she said, "I feel happy now when I hear everyone saying that the song and dance were good. Two- three films are coming up in Telugu. A web series is also set for release." Even amid marital bliss and motherhood, Shamna pursued her film career, shattering stereotypes by acting during pregnancy and the post-partum period. She revealed that she had acted in Dasara movie during the seventh month of pregnancy. Her post pregnancy was neither a cakewalk either, she disclosed "when I shared my post-pregnancy pictures on social media, immediately users just wrote I should consider losing weight." Setting those comments aside and taking inspiration from Vidya Balan, she embraced her body confidently and defied societal norms. Reflecting on the changes accompanying motherhood, Shamna mentioned how her priorities have shifted, but her love for Hamdan remains unparalleled. Despite receiving tempting movie offers, she reassured that her role as a mother would never be compromised. Shamna asserted that her son is her top priority, aiming to nurture a bond similar to the one she shares with her own mother. "If the name Shamna Kasim exists today, it is because of my mother Ramla Beevi" mentions Shamna.  She also expressed her feelings regarding the viral video where director Mysskin praised her, revealing his desire to be born as Shamna's child in his next life. She revealed, "Mysskin is a very close person to me in the film industry. A person who gives me confidence… Maybe he said that at an event because he has seen my love for my son." Cherishing every aspect of her celebrity lifestyle and motherly duties, Shamna promises to stride confidently, turning a blind eye to haters and trolls.
