In a moment that left fans of 'Tere Ishk Mein' smiling wide, Dhanush showered affection on co-star Priyanshu Painyuli after the latter penned an unexpectedly emotional tribute celebrating their collaboration.

What began as a heartfelt Instagram note quickly snowballed into one of the day’s most wholesome exchanges on celebrity timelines.

Priyanshu, who plays Ved in the film, shared a still from the Aanand L Rai directorial and confessed he has been a “big fan” of Dhanush since his college days in Bengaluru.

The actor listed some of his favourite Dhanush films — from Aadukalam, Asuran, Maari, Raayan, Kubera, The Gray Man to Raanjhanaa — before calling the film a “dream opportunity” to finally share screen space with one of the most “transformative actors” in the country.

The note, which Priyanshu himself admitted “might sound like it’s for a post or social media,” quickly struck a chord because of its sincerity. He pointed out that he rarely writes such long, emotional messages for anyone and revealed he has always loved dancing to “Kolaveri Di” and “Rowdy Baby.”

Calling Dhanush “one of the easiest and simplest stars” he has ever worked with, Priyanshu described the experience as “delightful” and one he will cherish. “Sometimes, I like to count on my achievements in life and this is one of them. – Ved to Shankar,” he concluded.

Dhanush, known for keeping things understated, dropped a reply that instantly sent their fandom into meltdown.

“Thank you, brother. I’m honoured and deeply touched by your kind and sweet words. Was a joy working with you. Looking forward to more magical journeys together,” he wrote — a line that fans have already turned into a viral quote.

'Tere Ishk Mein', a spiritual successor to 'Raanjhanaa' (2013), features Dhanush as Shankar and Kriti Sanon as Mukti, and follows a turbulent romance that spans years, heartbreaks, and a dramatic reunion after Shankar joins the Indian Air Force.

With the actors now publicly celebrating their bond, audiences are already hoping those “magical journeys” hint at more collaborations ahead.
