The actor posted a picture on Instagram Stories on Saturday, offering a glimpse of her changed circumstances while making it clear that she is not ready to give up just yet.
The photo showed an empty reclining wheelchair placed near a window, with a sunset visible outside. Reflecting on how quickly life can take an unexpected turn, Nushrratt added a message that mixed emotion with optimism.
“Been chasing sunsets forever, And just like that.. my view changed. But, Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost,” she wrote.
The post marks her first social media update since the accident and suggests that she is looking ahead despite the challenges of her recovery.
Nushrratt was in Bali on a work-cum-holiday trip when she suffered a fracture in her spine following an accident. She was subsequently airlifted to Mumbai by air ambulance to receive further treatment and undergo surgery.
Following the incident, her publicist released a statement confirming the injury and explaining that the immediate priority was arranging the actor’s return to Mumbai for medical care.
“Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip, met with an unfortunate accident and suffered a fracture in her spine. Nushrratt’s upcoming work put on hold
The publicist also said that the injury and surgery would require the actor to take time off to recover, affecting her professional commitments over the following weeks.
“Given the nature of the injury and the surgery, Nushrratt will need time to rest and recover, and her work commitments over the next few weeks are likely to be affected. We request everyone to respect her privacy at this time and allow her the space to focus on her treatment and recovery. We are grateful for everyone’s concern and good wishes and will share further updates as and when appropriate,” the statement added.
Nushrratt, known for films such as ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ and ‘Dream Girl’, has not shared further details about her recovery in the post.
