Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has returned to Mumbai after suffering a spinal fracture in an accident in Bali. The actress was flown back to India by air ambulance and is now set to undergo surgery for the injury.

Videos of Nushrratt's arrival in Mumbai have surfaced online, showing the actress being brought out on a stretcher while surrounded by family members and medical professionals. The visuals come a day after her team confirmed that she had been hospitalised in Bali following the accident.

Nushrratt was in Bali for a work commitment that had been extended into a work-cum-holiday trip when the accident occurred. She was admitted to a local hospital and remained under medical observation while doctors evaluated her condition.

Her publicist later issued a statement confirming that the actress had suffered a fracture in her spine and would require surgery after returning to Mumbai. The statement did not disclose the exact nature of the accident or specify which part of the spine was affected.

“At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care,” her team said, adding that arrangements were being made to bring her back to Mumbai by air ambulance.

The team also said that the injury and surgery would mean Nushrratt needs time to rest and recover, with her work commitments over the coming weeks likely to be affected. They requested privacy while she undergoes treatment and thanked fans and well-wishers for their concern.

Details about the accident itself have not been made public so far. While early reports initially said that the actress had suffered an injury during her Bali trip, her team later confirmed that it was a spinal fracture requiring surgery. There has been no official update giving further medical details about the injury.

For now, Nushrratt's immediate focus is expected to remain on treatment and recovery.

The accident comes at a busy point in Nushrratt's career. She recently joined Tiger Shroff in director Remo D'Souza's upcoming action film. The project also features Abhishek Banerjee, Elvish Yadav and Pashmina Roshan, and marks Nushrratt's first on-screen collaboration with Tiger. The film is being made as a large-scale action entertainer.

Nushrratt is also associated with Ghooskhor Pandat, the Manoj Bajpayee-led crime thriller produced by Neeraj Pandey. The film was originally announced under that title, but its name was withdrawn following objections and legal proceedings earlier this year.

Her filmography also includes ‘Chhorii 2’, ‘Ufff Yeh Siyapaa’, S’onu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.
