After a decent two-day run powered by Mohanlal’s cameo, ‘Bha Bha Ba’ witnesses a noticeable slowdown at the box office on Day 3, as early estimates indicate falling occupancy and collections.

Dhananjay Shankar’s directorial debut 'Bha Bha Ba', starring Dileep, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Dhyan Sreenivasan, witnessed a strong opening at the Indian box office but appears to be slowing down on its third day of release.
The Malayalam action-comedy, which hit theatres on December 18, 2025, also features a much-talked-about cameo by Mohanlal—one of the key drivers behind its impressive opening numbers.
According to early box office estimates, 'Bha Bha Ba' has earned around ₹0.42–0.57 crore in India net on Day 3 as of the latest update.
These figures are live and preliminary, based on limited advance data till around 10 pm, and are expected to be revised as the day progresses. Media outlets have been advised not to treat these as final numbers.
The film opened on a strong note, collecting approximately ₹6.75 crore on Day 1, supported by high initial buzz and Mohanlal’s cameo appearance.
On Day 2, collections dipped to around ₹3.40 crore, taking the two-day total to ₹10.1 crore in India net. While the drop from Day 1 to Day 2 was noticeable, it still placed the film in a relatively comfortable position heading into the weekend.
However, Day 3 trends indicate a sharper slowdown. As per Sacnilk’s early data, the film recorded an overall Malayalam occupancy of just 8.92% during morning shows.
While evening and night shows may improve the numbers slightly, the early signs suggest that the film is struggling to sustain its initial momentum.
Trade analysts believe the opening-day performance was heavily front-loaded, largely due to curiosity around Mohanlal’s cameo. As the novelty factor fades, audience response appears to be mixed.
On IMDb, 'Bha Bha Ba' currently holds a 4.4/10 user rating, with several viewers criticising the film’s execution and narrative. One user review noted, “I truly regret going and watching this film… through the halftime was mentally exhausted from what I saw.”
Despite being promoted as a mass entertainer, the coming days will be crucial in determining whether 'Bha Bha Ba' can stabilise its box office run or continue its downward trend beyond the opening weekend.
