After a robust opening day, ‘Bha Bha Ba’ witnesses a noticeable drop in collections on Day 2, raising questions about its weekend momentum.

Malayalam action-comedy 'Bha Bha Ba’, headlined by Dileep and featuring Mohanlal in a much-talked-about appearance, began its theatrical journey on a strong note but saw a significant dip in earnings on its second day at the box office.
According to early trade estimates, the film earned an impressive ₹6.70 crore in India net on day 1, signalling strong audience curiosity and solid advance bookings, especially across Kerala. However, the film’s momentum slowed on Friday, with Day 2 collections estimated at around ₹0.62 crore in India net as of the latest updates.
With this, the film’s two-day India net total stands at approximately ₹7.32 crore, indicating a sharp contrast between opening-day hype and second-day footfalls. Trade analysts attribute the drop to mixed word-of-mouth and the film’s heavy reliance on fan-driven turnout during its opening day.
Occupancy levels on Day 2 remained moderate, with morning and afternoon shows witnessing low attendance, while evening and night shows performed comparatively better in key centres. Single screens in Kerala continued to show stronger traction than multiplexes, aided by Dileep’s loyal fan base and Mohanlal’s special role, which has been a major talking point online.
Despite the slowdown, industry insiders believe the film still has room to recover if it manages to post growth over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday collections will be crucial in determining whether 'Bha Bha Ba’ can stabilise its run or face a sharper decline in the coming days.
Social media reactions to the film have been divided, with audiences praising the performances and mass moments, while criticism has emerged around pacing and the screenplay. On X, several viewers described the film as a “one-time watch,” while fans highlighted its entertainment value and nostalgic appeal.
With the holiday season underway and competition intensifying at the box office, all eyes are now on 'Bha Bha Ba’s weekend performance. Trade circles suggest that consistent occupancy over the next two days could help the film maintain respectable first-week numbers, even if it falls short of blockbuster territory.
