Kalamandalam Rama Chakyar is a well-known Koodiyattam maestro and a visiting professor of the state's premier performing arts institution, Kerala Kalamandalam. He was also the Chairman of the Koodiyattam department of the Kerala Kalamandalam.

Born in 1950 in Painkulam village in Thrissur district, he started receiving his training in Koodiyattam under Painkulam Rama Chakyar at the age of 12. Later he joined the Kerala Kalamandalam and continued his studies. In 2013, he received the Kerala Government's Nrithanatya Award.
