P. S. Rafeeq was born in 1978 in the village of Eriyadu near Kodungallur, as the son of Palliparambil Seythu and Kolliyil Kunjibeevathu. He is a graduate in English literature. He has won many awards for short stories. P. S. Rafeeq is the writer and lyricist of the movies Nayakan, Amen, Utopiayile Rajavu, and Thrissivaperur Cliptham.
