Dr. Nachiket Mor is a distinguished leader with a diverse career in banking, public health, and development. He began his career in banking, rising to the position of Whole-Time Director on ICICI Bank's Board, and later serving on the Reserve Bank of India’s Board of Governors. He has held board-level positions at institutions such as NABARD, CARE, Wipro, and CRISIL. Dr. Mor's focus has been on addressing India’s development challenges, particularly in public health. He served as India Director for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and is currently an Independent Board Member at Narayana Hrudayalaya.
Dr. Mor is also a Commissioner in the Lancet Citizens' Commission on Reimagining India's Health System. He serves as a Visiting Scientist at Banyan Academy of Leadership in Mental Health and as Visiting Faculty at the Indian School of Business. His advisory roles extend to several state and central government initiatives in public health and sustainable development, working with states like Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, and Himachal Pradesh.
With a background in Physics from Bombay University, a post-graduate diploma from IIM Ahmedabad, and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Mor has published widely in journals such as Lancet and Frontiers in Public Health.
