V. K. Sreeraman is a known actor, writer and journalist. He was born in 1953 in Thrissur. After a short period of expatriation, he entered into film industry inspired by his relative and writer C. V. Sreeraman and director G. Aravindan.
‘Thampu’ directed by Aravindan is the first film in which V. K. Sreeraman played a role. He acted in the lead role in the movie ‘Uppu’ directed by Pavithran. He was a part of many films incluing ‘Oru Vadakkan Veeragadha’, ‘Utharam’, ‘Kakkothikkavile Appoppanthadikal’, Aadharam’, ‘Sargam’, ‘Vaishali’, ‘Harikrishnans’ and ‘Devasuram’.
He entered into television industry by visualizing a short story ‘Ishtadanam’ written by C. V. Sreeraman and he won the State Television Award for the best director for the same.
A TV show ‘Veritta Kazhchakal’ produced by him is a unique programme which may be first of its kind in the Indian television history.The show also won him the State Television Award for the best commentator.
Veritta Kazhchakal, Ithara Vazhvukal, Matt, Kalathinte Nalukettu, V. K. Sreeramanante Lekhanangal and Ekalochanam are his noted works.
