K. G. Sankara Pillai is renowned Malayalam poet. He was born in Chavara in Kollam in 1947. He worked as Malayalam lecturer in various government colleges in Kerala. He retired from service as principal of Ernakulam Maharaja’s College.
He was honoured with many awards including Kerala Sahithya Akademi award and Kendra Sahithya Akademi award. His major works are Kochiyile Vrikshangal, KG Sankarapillayude Kavithakal, Athinal njan Branthanalla and Ammamar.
