Joy Mathew is famous as actor, dramatist, script writer, play director and movie director. ‘Shutter’ directed by Joy Mathew was selected as the best movie by the audience in the 17th International Film Festival of Kerala.

He has authored more than 20 plays and has received Kendra Sahitya Akademi award and Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Akademi award. Joy Mathew played the protagonist in the movie ‘Amma Ariyan’ directed by John Abraham and produced by Odessa.

Shutter, Uncle, Nadu Kadathappettavante Kavithakal, Poonaranga, Pranayathinte Chathuranellikkakal and Veedukal Kathunnu are some of his popular works.
