Jassie Gift is a popular music composer and singer. He was noted for introducing Western-Malayalam medley in film songs. He gained fame after composing and singing the song ‘Lajjavathiye’ in the movie ‘For the People’ directed by Jayaraj.
Having a passion for Western music, he used to take part in Western music events from an early age and won prizes even in national level competitions. His first appearance in visual media was through the album ‘Soona Soona’ aired in Surya TV.
His debut in music composing for films was through ‘Bibhalsa’, a Hindi film directed by Jayaraj and later he came into Malayalam film industry through the movie ‘Saphalam’ directed by Balachandra Menon.
He has composed music for many a films in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. Rain Rain Come Again, December, Ennittum, Shambhu, Balram vs Tharadas, Ashwaroodan, Pokkiri Raja, China Town, Pattalam, Four Students and Thee Nagar are some of the noted movies he worked for.
