Gopinath Muthukad is a renowned magician. He was born in 1964 in Malappuram. He started practicing magic at the age of 10. He is active in the international magic sector since 1985. In 1996, he set up the first ever Magic Academy of Asia.

He has bagged a special award of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy award, International Magic Star – Paris, Prathibha Pranamam Award of Kerala Government and the International Merlin Award instituted by the International Magicians' Society which is considered as the Oscar of Magic

‘Ormakalude Manthrika Sparsham’ is his autobiography. Magic Magic, Magic Enth Engane, Vazhakkunnam Indrajala Kathakal, Ganitharamante Kusruthikal and Ee Kathayilumundoru Magic are his noted works.
