T.P. Sreenivasan is a former Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, Vienna and Governor for India of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna and Ambassador to Austria and Slovenia. His previous postings were as Deputy Chief of Mission in the Embassy of India,Washington, High Commissioner of India to Kenya and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations in Nairobi, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, New York. He rose to the highest level in the Indian Foreign Service in 2001 and retired in 2004. Sreenivasan is presently Director of the NSS Academy of Civil Services and Director General of the Kerala International Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. Sreenivasan was a Visiting Fellow on Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution, Washington in 2009.
