Khyrunissa A

Khyrunnisa A is a prize-winning author of children’s fiction who occasionally writes for adults. She writes regularly for various publications. She created the popular character ‘Butterfingers’ for the Mumbai-based children’s magazine Tinkle. She has written three popular children’s novels in the Butterfingers and two collections of short stories. A book of her short stories, Lost in Ooty and Other Adventure stories, includes the two stories which won her the first and second prizes at the Unisun Open Creative Writing Competition (2007) in the category Children’s Fiction. Khyrunnisa A worked as Associate Professor of English at All Saints’ College, Thiruvananthapuram.
