Long jump star and Vice President of the Athletics Federation of India, Anju Bobby George, appeared in a traditional chatta and mundu in a recent family get-together in Peravoor, Kannur. Anju shared photos and videos of the event on Instagram, delighting her followers with the cultural look.

“There's nothing quite like family reunions! We enjoy acting silly and laughing a lot. Our bond feels unbreakable,” she captioned in her post.

The photos quickly drew admiration, with many fans commenting that she resembled Kochuthresia, the character portrayed by actress Sheela in Sathyan Anthikad’s Manassinakkare. Some even joked that if actor Prem Nazir had seen the pictures, Sheela would have had to head straight to the ground for practice.

Anju also shared clips of her family members dressed up as characters including Ranganan and Nagavalli.

Anju Bobby George is remembered for scripting history in 2003 by winning a bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships in Paris, becoming the first Indian athlete to achieve such a milestone.
