Dubai: In an unusual turn of events, a video circulating on Instagram shows two women stuck in the vast desert of Dubai, resorting to an unexpected mode of rescue – a camel booked through Uber.
The pair found themselves stranded in the arid landscape after their vehicle broke down. Seeking a way out, one of the women opened her Uber app, only to be greeted with a rather unexpected transport option: a camel.

The women decided to book the unconventional ride. Moments later, a man arrived, leading a camel, and introduced himself as an ‘Uber Camel driver’. One of the women, amused by the situation, hopped onto the camel while her friend, in disbelief, exclaimed, "We actually got lost and ordered a camel!"

The rider, clearly enjoying the moment, asked the driver, "What do you do for a living?" to which he replied, "I drive Uber camel. I help people who get lost." The driver explained that his role involves assisting travellers stranded in the desert, offering an alternative means of transportation.

The incident took place at Al Badayer-Dubai-Hatta Road.

Social media platforms were abuzz with reactions, as people marvelled at the unusual yet practical solution to a problem unique to the desert landscape.
